Kristi Martin
Lab Owner
Kristi was born and raised in Charleston, where she was instilled with the Southern values of hard work, honesty, respect, faith, and trust. A licensed registered nurse, she earned her associate degree in nursing from Trident Technical College. Prior to obtaining her nursing degree, she worked over 20 years in the healthcare industry, including oral surgery.
In 2019, Kristi began working at Restorative Arts Dental Laboratory alongside her late husband and owner, Henry Martin. She helped streamline business operations, drawing on her previous experience in managing surgical practices. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, she dedicated herself to helping Henry and the Restorative Arts staff keep the business operational. Since Henry’s passing in 2021, Kristi has continued to commit herself to Restorative Arts, building and strengthening its client relationships with the same dedication and personalized service. The staff, which includes her sister Rachel Clark, combined with the outpouring of support she received from doctors and the lab community, and the trust that Henry placed in her all served as motivation to preserve the lab and the legacy he built.
Kristi strives to uphold the values, quality, relationships, and craftsmanship that have always characterized Restorative Arts since its founding in 1975. Her highly-trained team is continually learning how to incorporate new technology and processes to build upon the foundational, yet distinctive techniques Henry implemented and instilled in each technician. She endeavors to fulfill his mission of not only providing high-quality products, but also an exceptional client experience.
When not running the lab, Kristi enjoys the outdoors, especially jogging and being out on the water. She loves traveling and spending time with her friends and family, including her three children, Seth, Kalli, and Khloe. She is passionate about people and building relationships to positively impact the lives of others.
